A well-built website is not enough to be found. Search engine optimisation is what happens after launch: understanding what your customers actually type, checking that Google reads your pages correctly, publishing the content that answers those searches, and measuring what it brings in enquiries. It is slow, cumulative work, and one of the few online investments that keeps paying after you stop spending.
What Luxembourg changes about SEO
Methods learned on the French or German market transfer badly here. The country is small, multilingual and open on three borders, and each of those traits changes how the work is done.
- Three search languages, sometimes four. The same customer searches for "avocat droit du travail" in the morning and "Anwalt Arbeitsrecht" in the afternoon. A site that ranks in one language only leaves part of the market to its competitors.
- Low volumes that tools underestimate. Many Luxembourg queries show "0 to 10 searches" in keyword tools and still bring customers. We work from the real data in your Search Console rather than from estimates.
- Competition that also comes from abroad. On queries without a place name you face much larger French, Belgian and German sites. The answer is almost always local: the country, the town, the district.
- Cross-border workers searching from Thionville, Arlon or Trier. Close to half of the country's employees do not live in it. Depending on your business, that is a clientele to win or noise to filter out.
What we do
Technical
Audit and fixes
Indexing, mobile speed, heading structure, structured data, language tagging, redirects, duplicate content. Everything that stops Google from reading the site the way you intended.
Content
Pages and articles
The pages that are missing to answer your customers' searches, and a rework of those that exist without ranking. Written to be read by people, not to stack keywords.
Local
Google profile and directories
A complete, up-to-date Google Business Profile, consistent name, address and phone number on Editus, Yellow.lu and the directories of your trade, and a method for collecting reviews.
Authority
Inbound links
Links earned from sites that have a reason to mention you: federations, partners, local press, professional chambers. No bulk link buying.
How an engagement runs
01Audit
Weeks 1 and 2Technical state of the site, current rankings, searches you already appear on without knowing it, three to five competitors examined closely.
02Prioritised plan
Week 3A list of actions ranked by expected effect and by cost. You know what will be done, in what order, and what was set aside and why.
03Technical fixes
Months 1 and 2Whatever blocks comes first. Publishing content on a site Google reads badly is filling a leaking bucket.
04Content and local SEO
From month 2New pages, reworked existing pages, Google profile, directories, first links. In the languages your customers use.
05Measure and adjust
Every monthA one-page report: rankings, clicks, enquiries received, what was done, what comes next. Not forty pages of charts nobody reads.
What SEO costs
| Service | Budget | What it covers |
|---|---|---|
| SEO audit | 1,200 – 2,500 € | Technical, semantic and competitive analysis, with a prioritised action plan you can hand to whoever you like. |
| Local SEO | 500 – 1,000 € | Google profile, directories, consistent contact details, review collection method. A one-off service suited to a shop or a tradesperson. |
| Monthly support | 600 – 1,500 € / month | Fixes, content, links and a monthly report. The budget depends on the number of languages and on competition in your trade. |
| Writing a page or an article | 250 – 500 € | Research of the target query, writing, integration and internal linking. Translation quoted separately. |
What is already included in our websites
Every site we deliver ships with technical SEO in place: unique tags, heading structure, structured data, sitemap, language tagging, measured performance, Search Console set up. That foundation is part of the build price and is not sold twice. The service described here starts where it ends: the ongoing work of content, authority and follow-up. It is also open to sites we did not build.
If the audit shows the site is too slow, badly structured or impossible to evolve, we say so. A redesign sometimes costs less than eighteen months spent optimising a site that slows down every action.

Technical fixes show an effect within a few weeks. For content, allow three to six months before rankings settle, longer on a recent site or in a very competitive trade. Less than six months of support rarely allows a fair judgement.
A one-off audit sits between 1,200 and 2,500 € excluding VAT. Monthly support runs from 600 to 1,500 € per month depending on the number of languages and the competition. For a local business, putting the Google profile and directories in order, between 500 and 1,000 €, is often enough to start.
No, and nobody honestly can. Google alone decides its rankings. We commit to the actions carried out, to a readable monthly report and to realistic objectives set after the audit.
They answer different needs. Advertising brings visits from day one and stops when the budget stops. SEO takes months to start and keeps producing afterwards. For a launch, advertising on a landing page often comes first while SEO builds up.
In every language your customers search in, yes. A machine translation does not rank: German queries are not the translation of French ones. We research keywords separately in each language.
Yes. The audit starts by checking that the site can be changed: access to the admin, ability to edit tags, headings and structure. On some closed platforms the room for manoeuvre is small, and we will tell you before invoicing anything beyond the audit.
